WE ARE NOT TERRORISTS. We are guerilla artists expressing ourselves in a time when the imperialists make it illegal to do so. No amount of suppression, repression, or oppression can stop us. We are determined to keep our voice alive by any means necessary. Enjoy. Share with Like Minds. Spread the Light. Give feedback. Feedback is Fuel. thank you. illumiNessence EYE2025*

4th Wall Art Salon in Philadelphia

July 12, 2010

Fourth Wall Arts: Philly’s Latest Art Outlet

Fourth Wall Arts' Logo

Every month, artists and intellectuals are gathering in venues across Philadelphia to take a break from their hectic professional lives and share with one another different forms of art and expression. It’s a place where artists can gain exposure and guests can be entertained. Most importantly, these events bring people from different communities together in an intimate setting to embrace what they all have in common with one another… their love of the arts.

Fourth Wall Arts is a non-profit organization founded by Elijah Dornstreich, a real estate professional and Keir Johnston, a local artist, whose overall concept was to mix artists and guests, in hopes of inspiring and energizing one another. In order to accomplish this, Elijah and Keir formed an incredible team of people to help bring these salons to life every month. Lucky for them, they managed to grab Alexandria Bradley, as their artistic director.

Bradley, who not only helps put together these monthly salons, also lends her own talent to the show. As an accomplished tap dancer whose resume includes dancing beside the famous Savion Glover for four years, as well as performing at the Cannes Film Festival in France, she will certainly bring you to your feet while watching her incredible dance moves.

But, Bradley is just one example of the diverse line up that Fourth Wall Arts brings to their audience every month. The event features a little bit of everything. Fine art, magicians, poets, break dancers, musicians… all while being hosted by the charismatic Carlo Campbell and DJ’d by the award-winning DJ Supreme.

Fourth Wall Arts is surely one of the most inventive arts organization I’ve come across and I encourage you to check it out. There is something new and exciting every month. The next salon is July 24, 2010 at The Trinity Center for Urban Life @ 7 p.m. Tickets are available at their website.
